How to Migrate from Age Gate to VeriSelf

Migration Steps
- Install VeriSelf from WordPress.org or upload
veriself-client.zip. - Deactivate Age Gate, but leave it installed until you confirm VeriSelf is working.
- Go to VeriSelf Verification → Setup and choose your AI type:
- Free: 100 lifetime AI verifications via Cloud AI.
- BYOAI (PRO): connect your own OpenAI/Claude/Ollama provider for unlimited verifications.
- Configure the gate trigger: under the Gate tab, set “On page entry” if you want site-wide verification, or use the shortcode/block on specific pages.
- Match your existing Age Gate appearance: use the WordPress Customizer to set colours, dark mode, and spacing.
- Test with DOB mode first, then enable AI camera verification once you are happy with the flow.
- Remove Age Gate after a day or two of successful traffic.
What Happens to Your Content?
Nothing. VeriSelf does not change posts, pages, or products. It adds a verification layer on top. If you had Age Gate category gating, replace it with VeriSelf’s Content Gate or WooCommerce gating for the same categories.
